GIFTS TO GOD
Under the spiritual leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, our beloved priest, Fr. George Liacopulos, and the capable guidance of Co-Chairs Maria Lianidis and Lia Potiris, our Building on Faith Campaign charts a realistic plan to raise the funds for our new sanctuary.This Sacred Space Artifacts catalog offers images, brief descriptions, and Gift Amounts for each sanctuary space and element of our new sanctuary. The Gift Amount for each item was determined in consultation with our architect, Christ Kamages, FAIA, and the Building Committee, and represents an estimated cost required for their construction.

PERSONAL REASONS FOR GIVING

Most importantly, we are called to make A SACRIFICIAL GIFT TO GOD

We suggest you look at each item in this catalog and consider why is it that you want to make an offering to God. Do you wish to thank God for your many blessings? Do you wish to show faithfulness and devotion in a time of need? Do you wish to offer a gift in memory of beloved family member or friends? Do you wish to honor a living family member or friend? There are many reasons we feel compelled to give. Each of your reasons are personal. We ask you to reflect on these reasons and pray to God for guidance as you make your decision.

Most importantly, we are called to make A SACRIFICIAL GIFT TO GOD

We also ask that you consider your gift as a sacrificial gift. We are told by Christ that one should not give from abundance and because it is easy. Rather, Christ blessed the widow who gave two copper coins, saying, “this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For they all contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, her whole living.”(Mark 12:43-4) Therefore, we, too, must consider making a sacrificial gift. As St. Paul said, “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
(Hebrews 13:16)

GIFT RECOGNITION

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL TO GIVE

Each gift will be acknowledged in the church sanctuary in a prominent central location in the Narthex, where appropriate with wall plaques, as well as in our printed and on-line descriptions of the progress and permanently on our website. We will also respect the wishes of those who wish to give anonymously. Also, and more importantly, as supporters and builders of this new church, donors will be commemorated in the prayers during our Divine Services.

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL TO GIVE

To provide the opportunity for more individuals to offer Gifts to God, the Building on Faith Committee has decided to present an overall Gift Amount and, in some cases, has offered an option for more individuals to participate as partial donors. In these cases, donors of these partial Gift Amounts will be also recognized.

Once you have decided on your Gift Amount, either send your Gift as a check directly to our Church Administrator, Lisa Mitoulis (lisa.mitoulis@gmail.com) or contact any member of the Building on Faith Committee who will be able to assist you. Therefore, inspired by the words of Nehemiah 2:28, "Let us rise up and build," we invite you to strengthen our Holy Trinity church for this good work.
